Rock Band on Tour

All of you know that my favorite pasttime is to sing Karaoke. It's not because I am neccessarily good at it, but I love to perform! We just purchased the new game Xbox game Rock Band and oh does it rock! We stayed up until midnight last night (which is very late for the old timers. We are normally in bed by 10) because our fans kept wanting more. The crowd pleaser is definitely Bon Jovi's 1980s hit "Wanted Dead or Alive." I must say my vocals are spot on. Tim has turned into quite the drummer. Who knows, maybe you'll see us perform at a stadium near you!

To offset the electricity that our lights add to our carbon footprint, we are sending an electronic holiday message instead of the cards we've sent in the past, oh wait we've never sent holiday cards. Nonetheless, we hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving Means Lights!

With Thanksgiving exactly one week behind us, the holiday season turns into something else...Lights! I mean Christmas lights. I am married to Mr. Griswold himself. He prides himself on having the best lights display in the neighborhood (granted we are normally the only ones in the 'hood to have more than one strand of lights), nonetheless, it brings holiday cheer to those on our street. I know it doesn't look like much but you're going to have to believe me that we have the best display on the street. People come from blocks away to "ooh and ahh." I think we're going to start charging a drive-by fee!

This year we even started a neighborly challenge. Our neighbor, Artist Dave (called this because he's an amazing artist), normally is Mr. Scrooge during the holidays and never puts lights out. Well we came home the other night to this:

We're having a...

So we've taking a hiatus from blogging for six months. It's because we have been busy with doctors. We just found out we are having a FIBROID! We are so excited. It will be delivered by C-Section on Tuesday, January 29. You are all invited to come and visit us in the hospital! This photo is our latest ultrasound. Isn't she cute!

Ok, enough joking around. After two years of crazy things happening with my body (I'll spare you the details, let's just say I could have made a lot of money being a wet nurse!), I finally found a doctor who figured out what was wrong with me (not mentally, they are still working on that!). I have a small "darkened mass" in my pituatary gland, which was discovered by an MRI, and a large mass in my uterus. The mass in my uterus is called a fibroid, and unfortunately it is rather massive! It takes up 95% of my uterine cavity. Essentially that means that I look like I am 6 months pregnant (Although I do look pretty good if I can say so myself!). Basically our best option (to relieve the bad pains I have and if we ever want to get pregnant) is to have it surgically removed, this is called a myometomy. Because of my "Baby's" size and location they must deliver it via a c-section. As I said before our due date is January 29, 2008. Why so long you ask? I have to give myself shots over the next 8 weeks so that I don't require a blood transfusion during surgery (that's comforting). With a C-section it will require me to be out of work 3-6 weeks, which for those of you who know my work-a-holic nature will be hell for me. My work has been fantastic through it all!
