Top 10 Things Things Barbarians Do in the Summer

I am sorry to all of you faithful readers who continuously tuned in to see what the Parry equation was. It turns out our good buddy David Letterman* was putting together a Top 10 Countdown list of "Top 10 Things Barbarians Do in the Summer" and we signed a ND (non-disclosure agreement). For those of you who missed it last night here it is:

#10: Spend the weekends wearing the tankini that covers your once bikini-worthy abs (isn't running supposed to make this flat? Stupid surgery...although I am rocking it in this photo!)

#9: Wear the same outfit(s) to run in all of your races (at least it's not the same underwear like it was all four years of high school and first year of college)

#8: Land a back flip on your wakeboard (he's so hot!)

#7: Kick some serious butt on our ginormous tube, even if it is our 65 year old uncle, who in my 30 years of going to the lake has never even stepped foot in the water, let alone on a boat.

#6: Spend time with the Rowles family in our favorite place at our cabin on Whitefish Lake and experience one of the prettiest sunsets (we missed you Becca, Keith and the boys):

#5: Take first place in your age group in your first 10k! Way to go babe!

#4: Find out that your older sister is going to add to her cute little family, even if it was a BIG surprise for them! Congratulations Rachelle and Danny!

#3: Help dad make peace with his Life Flight incident near Bobsled Downhill course, and be thankful that he walked his bike down the hill this time! (My dad is showing his scar where chest tube was placed when he was in the hospital for a week. We can laugh about it now, 2 years later, but believe me it was one of the scariest moments of my life.)

#2: Run your first half-marathon in 1:48, even if you look like you are about to die near the finish!

#1: Conquer life's greatest challenges together as husband and wife!

*For those who don't know the story, we were kicked out of Mr. Letterman's freezing cold studios for "acting like Barbarians." Needless to say, we no longer support him!

Dude! I almost gave up on checking your blog...but that stupid link to your website always tempts to me to just "check"...maybe, just maybe you would post.

Alas, my sister-friend...you have posted. And though I didn't quite understand the barbarian reference (you went to Letterman?), I loved the Top 10 list.

And...your abs are ROCk solid.
